Hello my name is Fanni and I have been working here at Church Farm for the past 6 weeks on the Horticulture Team. I am here on university placement as I am studying Horticulture.
I am really enjoying my first experience of practical work out on the field.
This week I have been planting our first summer crops in the polytunnels including tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers and chilli peppers. We have covered these in fleece to protect them incase of any late frost.
It’s great to see a working model of a sustainable farm here in the UK as organic farming is rare in Hungary, although it is slowly becoming more popular.
